1:1 Coaching & mentoring

1:1 coaching and mentoring are available to performers who have already trained inside the Impro Supreme online programme.

It is for those who want to refine their technique, sharpen their presence and develop a precise, individual practice through personal guidance.

Because this work is physical, cumulative and exact, individual mentoring and coaching only make sense once the shared foundations are in place. This is what keeps the work honest, efficient and meaningful — for both of us.

What we work on

1:1 mentoring focuses on how you work: your habits, your strengths, your blind spots and your possibilities. The terrain is always concrete and personal.

Physical expression

Refining how you use movement, gesture, posture and stillness, so what you do becomes clearer, more intentional and more readable.

Attention and perception

Training the ability to see what is actually happening — in yourself, in your partner and in the space — instead of working from assumptions or reflexes.

Choice, presence and direction

Slowing down enough to choose, committing fully to what you do, and learning how to adjust without losing clarity or authority.

Personal style & creative orientation

Identifying what characterises your way of being on stage and learning how to develop it without copying models or hiding behind tricks.

Project-based work

In some cases, mentoring may focus on a specific project, such as a solo piece, an act or a performance in development. The emphasis remains the same: how you work, how you make your choices and how material becomes clear through action.

How it works

1:1 mentoring is available by request to performers who have completed the Impro Supreme online training.

Each request is considered individually. The aim is to make sure the work is useful, coherent and timely — not automatic.

Sessions take place online as a priority and are typically spaced several weeks apart, to allow time for practice and integration.

In-person sessions are possible in exceptional cases (for example in Paris or Copenhagen), depending on timing and logistics.

Coaching and mentoring can be organised as:

  • a short sequence of sessions, or
  • an ongoing process over time, depending on your needs and the nature of the work we decide to pursue.

Mentoring is often organised as a short arc of three sessions. This allows the work to unfold, clarify and integrate without becoming open-ended.

Project-based mentoring is considered on a case-by-case basis and only when it deepens the underlying work.

Rates

Rates depend on format and duration.

1:1 coaching is offered as:

  • single sessions, or
  • short sequences of sessions, depending on what makes sense for the work.
